Speedarm Submarine – built for fully enclosed paragliding harnesses

The Speedarm Submarine is a completely new paragliding top from TryFly, designed from the ground up for pilots flying fully enclosed pod and cocoon harnesses. Every panel and material was chosen to solve a specific problem you meet inside a closed harness: wind chill on the arms, heat and moisture building up on the back, and a collar that fights with the harness.

Three fabrics, each doing one job

• Windproof sleeves – the arms are made from a thin yet genuinely windproof fabric. It blocks the airflow that cools you down in flight, without adding bulk or restricting movement.
• Breathable, moisture-wicking back – the back panel uses the same fabric we use in our Gruzo CC cycling range and in TryFly base layers. It is light, delicate and extremely breathable, so sweat is pulled away and your back stays ventilated even on long thermic days.
• Elastic Lycra® 180 g front – the front panel is thin, soft and highly elastic, so the top follows your body instead of bunching up under the harness.

A collar designed by leaving one out

Unlike our other Speedarm models, the Submarine deliberately has no high stand-up collar. Enclosed harnesses come with a collar of their own, and stacking a second one on top of it presses uncomfortably against the neck. The Submarine’s collar is cut away at the front, so nothing crowds your throat and you stay comfortable from launch to landing.

NFC medical tags in both sleeves

Each sleeve has an NFC tag built in – the same technology you may know from our Merino beanies with an ICE tag. In a medical emergency, a paramedic simply holds a phone against the sleeve and reads your critical information. NFC medical tags are already widely used by emergency services around the world, which makes this one of the most practical safety features you can carry in the air.
